The countdown to the final seconds of their workout has finally arrived.
Personal trainer Robin Terry stands among her Fat Attack participants at Gainesville Health and Fitness Center's main location as they complete their final set of abs, their arms and legs moving in sync with each motion.
"... Six ... five ... four ..." Robin pauses in between each count, the pause growing a little longer each time. The silence is interrupted: "You're a slow counter," says one of the contestants, provoking laughter from the group.
The group functions as a support system during workouts, and laughs and jokes that break the generally quiet concentration of the gym are not uncommon. But that doesn't mean that they aren't working just as hard (or harder) as everyone else in the gym.
